Vigil at the Madison Court House by the Huntsville Madison County branch of the AL State Conference of the NAACP

We are grateful to announce that the Huntsville Madison Co branch of the AL State Conference of the NAACP will be holding a vigil tonight on the west side of the Madison Co Court House at 6:30 p.m. to ask for justice for Derrick Mason.

It was at this court house that Derrick Mason was given a death sentence. He was represented, to quote Judge Little, the presiding judge, by 2 attorneys who had absolutely no experience in capital litigation before the trial. Of himself Judge Little courageously wrote to Governo Bentley, I know that if the Mason case had been tried by me at a later date, with more experience and exposure to capital cases, a different decision would have been made in sentencing. I would have imposed LIFE, WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE.

Huntsville friends, please support this vigil in support of justice for Derrick Mason, and thank you to my NAACP family!
