Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison 12.20.17

At the end of last week we received the sad news of the second execution date for 2018. It is for Doyle Lee Hamm who has been battling cranial and lymphatic cancer for over three years. Treatment has compromised his veins, and lethal injection would likely cause "cruel and needless pain". The date is 2.22.18. We have posted the Talking Points for him as well as for Vernon Madison whose date is 1.25.18 on our website as well as on our Facebook page. We hope that you will contact Governor Ivey and BE THE OTHER VOICE!

Today is the day of our Christmas party for our all volunteer Board. We thank all who thought of us throughout the year and gave us your support. We appreciate the Christmas cards from friends and supporters which made their way to our cells. They were special! We also thank our donors for their generosity and for understanding that although we may be an all volunteer organization there are still expenses that have to be met. Thank you too to our Advisory Board, especially to those who go the extra mile for us. We hope that you know who you are!

And finally our warmest wishes for a wonderful Christmas or holiday season! May this festive time of inclusion and joy last throughout the year!

See you next week!
