Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison 1.17.18

Weekly Report from the Board Meeting at Holman Prison 1.17.18

On this upcoming Saturday we will be in Selma at the Selma Center for Nonviolence participating in the annul SOS retreat. As always it will be a great opportunity to meet with leaders from various Alabama organizations much bigger than ours who are engaged in “bringing about a change in our lifetime”. We will be distributing the Talking Points for the 2 upcoming executions and asking for support.

Thank you to those who have already written to Governor Ivey on behalf of Vernon Madison and Doyle Hamm. We shared two of those letters with you but do want to assure you that phone calls and emails also help. Most of us make at least one phone call a day, so how about picking up that phone right now, dialing Governor Ivey’s office at 1-334-242-7100 and asking the pleasant secretary to ask the Governor to grant clemency to Vernon Madison and Doyle Lee Hamm. It really is as simple as that! Board members have asked family and friends to call. Every voice is counted!

Vernon Madison’s execution date is 1.25.18 and  Doyle Lee Hamm’s execution date is 2.22.18. The Talking Points for both men are up on our Facebook page as well as on our website www.phadp.org under Execution Alerts.  http://www.phadp.org/?q=alerts

Please contact Governor Ivey and BE THE OTHER VOICE!

We will be sending out the Execution Day Vigils at the beginning of next week.

See you next week!
